purpose of travel and invitation letter ..kindly help

Hi All,

As i want to apply for visit visa of canada.i need help in documents.
in documents checklist there are two documents are mention ..01) invitation letter 02) purpose of travel.

is there any difference? will i have to submit these two documents separately? if i submit the purpose of travel what should i write??.
kndly help in this regard.

According to CIC, for the purpose of travel you have upload proofs that you are coming to Canada for a temporary visit. Examples are:

Scanned copies of:

Flight ticket departing Canada
Travel itinerary (places you will visit, hotel bookings, etc.)
Proof of medical appointment (if applicable)


The invitation letter would be a letter submitted by your host in Canada whom you may be visiting/staying with.
