Purchased Parent tickets using Canadian Debit Card

Hi members,
Kindly suggest, soon after approval of my parents visa I have booked their travel.
tickets are purchased online using my debit card,
can someone confirm if my Parents can face any trouble while at airport in pakistan, where they can ask not to bore because payment is made through Canadian debit card and they do not carry debit card with them?

please share any information you guys might have.

It depends on the airline. Every single airline i have used never asked for the card unless there was an issue and we were requesting a refund, but generally speaking it shouldnt happen. I've used emirates, air canada, west jet, etihad, malaysia airlines, turkish airlines and I was never asked to show the card used.
Which airline will they use? I know Oman Air for example "officially" asks for the card to be present, and if the ticket was purchased by a friend/relative then the flyer should have a photocopy of both sides of the card and an authorization letter. but then again they do not implement this rule.

They are travelling thru Etihad, Tickets are purchased by me through Debit card.

I am writing the authorization letter also sending them the picture of Debit card back and front. Do you think will that be sufficient?
and in your case had it happen if someone else had made payment on your behalf and you are not resident of that country?

One of my friends told me a family in Turkey(mother + kids) was stopped to be on board because their payment was done through Candian Debit Card , and they were not the cardholder.

Personally, I am uncomfortable showing others the back of my credit/debit card... The back of your card contains the card security code, the 3-digit number code you use to verify that you have physical possession of your card. Just an unsolicited advise, always be careful with any info from your card.

They have not specified anything, i am not sure its airline who does this check or Airport authorities?

Very true. Initially i thought to share the front of the card that has card no that should suffice but then i am thinking what if they ask this is not sufficient proof. very confused after hearing the story from friend.
