Pune University Students !!! Kindly help how to justify the low aggregate %

Hello guys,

Pune University in India is one of the toughest university to score and University Topper usually has around 70-73% .

My Aggregate % of all 4 years is 56 and my Last year % is 65. How to justify this during the Application process that even 56% is a good score in Pune University ?

If some senior students who have graduated from Pune University and have admitted in Canadian Universities, Kindly suggest how to justify this ?

My Profile,
Work Experience - 3.5 years(while applying)
Engg Aggregate - 56 %
BE % 65.33 (which is on Degree Certificate)
12th - 64 %
10th - 78.61 %

How does my profile look for getting an admit in Canadian Universities for Computer Science.(MS in CS) ? Please suggest some universities where i can expect an admit based on my profile ?

I don't think you can justify about pune university as a specific. Even i am also a victim of this ugly system of education. I've graduated from VTU , Karnataka, which is also considered one of toughest univ to score good grades. Whereas a person from anna univ or any other univ from tamil nadu can easily score 70+ %. But Canadian univ's consider all indian universities on the same page, probably with the exception of iit's. There is this glaring disparity among various univ's in India, but i don't think we could explain this to canadian univ's.

Friend one more thing, nobody asks for only last year percentage. It's the overall percentage that really matters , and in some cases the combined gpa's of last two years. I think you can cover up blemishes with your work exp, LOR'S and with a strong SOP highlighting all your achievements.

NB : I am also an aspirant like you hoping to make things happen.
