PRTD PERMANENT RESIDENT TRAVEL DOCUMENT

My Wife has a valid PR and she is living in Canada with our 16 year old son.
My PR card has expired last year. I got the PR with my family in 2013.
I am out of Canada living in Saudi Arabia.My total stay in Canada in the last 5 years is only 3 months.
Do you think I will get PRTD on Humanitarian & Compassionate grounds.??
Another option would be apply for spousal sponsorship through my wife currently staying in Canada.

Others can comment but unlikely you would get an H&C application approved apart from fact very difficult to get If for example reasons are just financial or work that caused you to not make the RO. Although you have not shared the reasons why you failed the RO.

If you have a US visa you could always try the US land border option , although having spent so little time in Canada the chances of being reported could be high but as a PR you would still be entitled to enter the country even if reported pending an appeal.

As said others can comment as well but you might find the best option might be to renounce and get your wife To sponsor you from scratch even though that could take upto 12 months
