It is discussed in this forum that persons who are applying PRTD on H&C grounds, will get the PRTD on priority, as they were removed as children.

I come to know from this forum that persons even denied the PRTD who were removed as children..

So what is the Criteria to issue PRTD to such cases?

Does it matters that what was your age when you were removed as a child, means you were an infant or child?
Also At what age you are applying for PRTD? Means below 18 years or after 18 years or on achieving 18 years?
Also how much time you were in Canada when you were a child? Definitely it was not your choice & would be choice of your parents ?

Pls share experiences who have got PRTD on H&C grounds successfully as they were removed as children...

No H&C cases get approved for PRTD in any form of priority. There seems to have been a recent change in whether PRTD is granted for minors removed as children. I am guessing because they were seeing many more cases. You must apply after 18 or you would need a guardian in Canada. The intent of the law was to allow children who had spent most of their schooling years in Canada to return for post secondary education. in reality what was happening was that people who had spent very little time in Canada, sometimes a week, were applying. If you have spent quite a few years in Canada you may still be approved. We have only seen the denials start pretty recently so nobody knows if this is a new policy. Many seem to have been securing PR so their children could claim they were removed as minors so there needed to be changes in the policy. Wasn't fair for the Canadian tax payers who subsidize postsecondary education or for the international students.
