Hello,

I am originally from Pakistan, and became a landed immigrant on 25th January 2016. Later i stayed in Canada for a month and returned back to Pakistan due to academic reasons (i.e. my exams etc) and also got married in Pakistan. I am now visiting Saudia Arabia (KSA) as my husband has a job here and he is also Pakistani nationality.

Now, i want to return back to Canada and therefore want to apply for PRTD. Is it Ok if i apply PRTD from KSA (the country where i am myself a visitor) or i should go back to my country and apply from there? Is anyone has applied from KSA?

Another question is that what are the chances of rejecting PRTD in my case? I mean i have not met residency obligation but i have lived outside Canada for less than a year. Please let me know? Is my marrying in Pakistan can affect my application?

regards,
Ash

Everyone automatically meets the residency obligation during first 3 years after becoming a PR, since if you returned to Canada you could fulfill final 2 years to meet RO. After landing as a PR, it's only if you leave for over 3 years that you would be in violation of the RO.

So you can apply for a PR TD and should get it approved no problem. You can apply to office based on the country you're currently residing in, see here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/travel-document/
To find out where to submit your application, please select the country you will be applying from (you can choose your country of nationality or the country where you have been legally admitted):

I believe this is VAC you would use: http://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/saudiarabia/contact_us.html
