It is very difficult to get a positive decision on PRRA. You really need to have enough evidence post your last claim (Refugee or H&C) in your application to convince the PRRA officer that you will truly face difficulties and risks if you return to your homeland.

I had a negative decision. There isn't really a specific time that they process these cases. Sometimes it can take anywhere between 1 month to a year. In my case, it took them about 5 months to make the decision and then an additional 2 months to send off the decision to CBSA in which I was contacted for my removal.

I really hope you can kick A$$ with your PRRA application and get a positive decision.

Good luck!

I was arrested by 2 cbsa officers. I had a warrant for my arrest because I didn´t show up for my refugee hearing. I got held at the immigration detention for several days until I was bailed out. Then I got called for an interview at 6900 and the cbsa officer who conduted the interview gave the prra application.

Since I never went to my hearing I sent a lot of evidence proving or trying to prove my life would be in danger if i return to my country of origin.

But i'm not sure if cic would see all my evidence, starting from the time i was back in my country. In the mannual for the prra says only new evidence after your hearing, but if i never had a hearing is that ok to send all the evidence?

My story is about political persecution. I sent pictures, medical reports and copy of the complains i made back in my country.
