How to prove time in Canada, when you are a Canadian citizen? Immmigration doesn't stamp citizens' passports when they enter/exit Canada. Stamps and visas in my passport are given by other countries, but that doesn't mean that when I exit (say) the USA, that I then re-entered Canada. I might have gone on to COsta Rica.

You see the problem?
Any ideas for showing time in Canada?

why you need to show the time? they can use stamps on your passport as evidence of your travelling and being absent.

I lived in Costa Rica from 2003 - May 2009.

For a reason unrelated to my wife's residency application, I need to show time in Canada for the past ten years. My latest passport was issued in 2007, and Canada kept (maybe destroyed?) the previous passport. And even in my current passport, the stamps show only entry to other countries; they don't prove residence in Canada.

So, I need means other than my passport to show time spent in Canada.

Ideas?

Boarding pass/airline ticket when you came back, Credit card receipts, bank transactions while you are in Canada.

I did not keep Boarding passes, but I'll check old bank records. Thanks, Job_Seeker.
