I am considering going to Canada for my undergraduate studies after high school (going into grade 12 in fall 2019. Starting university in Fall 2020). I am from the USA. While looking at the requirements for a student visa I saw that I would be required to show that I have sufficient funds for my living expenses in addition to my tuition. I would have to take out loans to pay for my tuition. While in Canada I was planning on living in student residence and going on the university meal plan. I would be taking out loans to do this. Would I be able to show that I have sufficient funds this way? Could the loans I take out for residence and my meal plan be how I show the funds. I would be going to university in Ontario. Sorry if that may be a silly question or if it has already been asked on this website before. I am American and have never really had to think about dealing with finances in other countries.
