Proving Intent to Return to Canada...any advice?

We are just in the final stages of getting this application sent and I want to make sure I have covered all my bases in regards to proof of intent. We are applying outland. I am a Canadian citizen sponsoring my common-law partner. We met in Canada (he was on a 2 year work visa), and our relationship has progressed in Canada. As we found out that outland app's are much quicker we decided to take the time to travel (using his home country in the EU as a base. I am an EU citizen as well as a Canadian). SO basically I will of been gone from Canada 2 days once we send off the application making me not technically a resident of Canada as I will be living in Europe for the duration of the process. We have got a notarized letter from my parents indicating that we upon our return to Canada we can live rent free with them, 5 other letters (1 other notarized) from friends and family all indicating they are aware of our plans to return. I have copies of all of my bank accounts in Canada as well. I don't know what else to include...any ideas?

I am hoping they will see our situation as straight forward as I have lived in Canada all my life and all my family live here...but who knows. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We included a personal letter explaining our plan on moving back to Canada. We also included a plan of action that we're taking on monthly basis from now till the day we move. I read that you can include job search..moving company quotations...selling properties..selling cars etc.

You basically have to prove that you're severing ties to the other country and establishing ties to Canada.

That's great thanks. Just the thing is that I have no ties in the country I will be in for the duration of the process and all of my ties in Canada (ie. family, my car, my friends) just not sure how to prove that.
