Provincial Nominee as an International BC Student?

Hi future Canadians,

There is a Provincial Nominee Program of British Columbia for International Graduates. However, I'm not eligible if I spend more than one quarter of the study time working/doing internships.

In my porgram, there are 8 semesters of normal classes but also 3 semesters (in summer) of work.
2,75 semesters would be one quarter but as I said, there are 3 semesters of work.

Do you think I would still be eligible? Do 3 semesters count as 2,75 (do they round it up)?

It is just slightly more than one quarter...

Thank you very much!

This is a tough one buddy. I would say, this would depend on the officer evaluating your PNP application. It's a bit of a hit or miss, as your work time (coop/internship) is a little over a quarter of your program time. If I were you, I would probably take up an additional in-class course for an extra semester (one with the least credits) to balance the equation. Cheers, Mate!

Ok thank you...yes I'll certainly ask if I can take up some additional classes or even skip/shorten one co-op term.

If anyone has some additional information, I'm looking forward to your answer.
