Provincial Nomination Program Immigration plan

Hello,

Would you please advice on my plan.

I don't have a particular area of expertise. I worked here and there, some odd jobs, some IT area experience. I studied in a college, but didn't graduate, unfortunately. For the last few years I was working on my own web project. It paid bills, but recent economic events make me think about immigration to a better country.

My plan is this (provincial nominee program):

1. Send a cover letter/resume to employers in Canada.

2. If someone responds, then I do what they say: provide references needed, the results of an English test.

Maybe it's easier for me to go as a tourist? And find a job there? I have an EU passport.

Is it even possible to get a job and to participate in the provincial nominee program?
Or I missed some steps?

Each province has its own selection criteria and for most of them education and experience is compulsory. High scored candidates are always prioritized. So, Explore the individual options for each province.

There might be, by some third party sources. Otherwise, each province has its own that you can explore one by one.

No offence but your chances are next to impossible, like NikSharma01 said, most provinces will rank your "human capital" and if you don't have an education then you're basically screwed.

The only alternative pathway is - if your country has an agreement with Canada for something like a 1 or 2-year Work Holiday Visa (WHV)- then you can get that visa, find a job and prove yourself to an employer and meet conditions of nomination that don't require an education or evaluation of your past work experience. This is what I did, but it wouldn't have been possible without the WHV.

Also, you can't just rock up as a tourist and try to find a job. 1) A border services officer will likely think you're trying to illegally find work and won't leave, and 2) No employer will look at you if you don't have a valid work visa or have extremely high in-demand skills that they're willing to support you with an LMIA. And that sadly is where your lack of education comes back to bite.

You said you worked in IT. Do you have a general farm worker or forestry experience? If not, how do you expect someone to hire you and then support you for a nomination?

A few provinces like Saskatchewan have specific streams for general farm workers and I know some of these people. They already have previous farm work experience (these are people who worked in farms for much of their life). They come here on WHVs, work in a local farm, and then get nominated.
