Hi everyone,
I am pretty confused so any advice is helpful. I am currently in Canada and have been here since 2019. I work in finance and hold a PGWP (work permit) currently. I have recently decided to attend law school in September for which I need a study permit.
Under the IRCC website it says that In-Canada study permit and work permit holders (including existing study permit holders applying for an extension) are exempt from the PAL.
I will be applying for my study permit from within canada. Do I need a PAL given that I am already inside canada, have a valid visitor visa (TRV) and also hold a PGWP (i hold a work permit because I am currently working in canada)? Or are current work permit holders residing inside canada exempt from the PAL needed towards a study permit?
