I'm from a visa-exempt country and want to visit Canada for fun for a month, but I keep reading nightmare stories of 'normal' people getting denied entry at ports of entry for a bunch of unexpected reasons.. and I'm worried :'(

At the airport I can provide a bank statement with good amount of money and a return ticket, but I don't have anything that proves my ties to my country!! I won't have a letter from my job / college because I don't belong to either at this moment :-[ that's bad, right?
I'm a young adult and don't have a lease or property anywhere.
I don't have any bad history, though - criminal, travel overstays, etc.
This'd be my first visit to Canada.

Should I just forget about going to visit Canada now? I'm kind of mad that I have to worry about this stuff. Sounds like tourists have to belong to an organization that says they are coming back or have some kind of housing contract back home or something. I'm sorry this sounds just crazy to me...
I'd just hate to get flagged for lacking this "proof of ties" and have it affect my future whatever travel to Canada.

Do you have families (such as parents, siblings, relatives) in your home country? If so, they must have a place to live and perhaps you can ask them to provide you a letter that you are living with them?

Piwi I can't understand why someone from a visa exempt country would be researching visas and worried about coming to Canada for the first time. What's the story? With sufficient funds, a way to return home and a realistic purpose for the visit (itinerary) you should be ok, don't you think?

At first I thought it'd be totally ok, too, but after I ran into posts on a few forums (of course including this one lol... I don't remember how I first got here), I'm now super worried.
(I'm usually always very worried about something, too. :-[ )
Never even thought about this stuff when traveling to other countries. Just carried my passport.
I just have an impression that Canada is maybe super more strict to visitors... (by reading the sites)

Plus, about the letter from family that was suggested, I can't get that... unfortunately in the middle of major fight ???
