Protected Person Expired Work Permit

Hello,

My husband has been working/living in Canada as a refugee claimant with an open work permit for the past 2 years. He recently got status as a protected person after his case was given a positive answer. However, his work permit expired in October and he no longer has a copy of it. How would he go about getting a new one? Any advice is appreciated! Thank you in advance.

Hi, I’m going thru the same, protected person waiting for pr and work permit expired 5 month ago, a lawyer is charging me 580 to renew it. Its been 28 months simce i aplied for pr. I think I just have to wait for not shure. Let me know what did you do

Where do you live? Did you apply for pr in Quebec or outside Quebec?
You need to stop working if you are still. Since your wp expired you are not allowed to work inside Canada. You supposed to apply for extension before your current wp expires. You don’t have to pay to someone for that. It’s also free.
