Hi all,

I am a mechanical engineer currently working in one of the Indian IT companies(2+ years exp). I wish to purse my masters in Computer science in a Canadian university. How should i convince the Visa Officer that my proposed studies are reasonable and relevant to my work experience??
All suggestions welcome. Thanks!

I'm looking for a long term career in IT and hence want to graduate in Computer science.
Try to convince the visa officer that being a mechanical engineer you have knowledge of basic software engg(as you guys do some courses related to IT in your mechanical as well), and that your work experience helped you gain more, Tell him that in order to compete with the competition a degree from Canada in the respective field will help you.

Thanks! I was under the impression that Canadians don't allow inter-disciplinary studies.
