Proof of upfront medical exam Requirement Confusion

Hi,

I am currently in the process of submitting the required forms and documents for an IEC visa.

A requirement on my Document Checklist which needs to be uploaded is a 'Proof of upfront medical exam'

It Says
"You require a medical exam. Learn how to get an upfront medical exam. In order to submit your online application, you will need to upload the information printout sheet or the IMM 1017B Upfront Medical Report form. Your doctor will give you one of these forms when you complete your medical exam.

If you cannot get a medical exam before the deadline to submit your application, you may submit proof that you have scheduled an appointment."

However I do not understand why I am required to carry out a medical test as:

I have never lived in any of the countries or territories specified for at least 6 months in a row within the last year.
I do not plan to work in a job in which public health must be protected in Canada or jobs that involve close contact with people.

Has anyone else had this issue or is the medial exam required for everyone now?

Thanks!

Hi Katie,

Did you figure your question out? I am applying now and have the same issue.

Your help is appreciated. Thank you.

It all depends on the options you selected during the questionnaire, if you logout and try to continue the application it should show you your answers, review thise carefully or start a new application.

Hi, I know this thread is old, but I have a similar situation. Did anyone have to take the medical exam in the end or were you able to contact someone and submit your application without?
