The south african visa office just sent my fiance the following, out of nowhere.
1) What counts as "documentary evidence of additional travel insurance"? Is a quote on this enough or do I actually have to take the insurance out?
2) Is it possible for me to actually take the insurance out without a visa? As far as I am aware one can only take out travel insurance once they have a ticket and I can't buy a ticket without a visa/date? Am I wrong about this?
Our medical aid does actually cover us internationally so I am not sure why they are saying this, ignoring that though as I would rather just give them what they want then try cause a fuss I would like to ask the following questions that I would appreciate an answer to.You are required to submit documentary evidence of additional travel insurance given you current medical condition. The medical coverage you have does not cover you internationally.
