Proof of sponsor to reestablish in Canada

I am Canadian Citizen currently living in the USA on a TN visa. I applied to sponsor my wife in November 2018. In the online tool the expected completion date shows Nov 2019.

We just received a letter asking us to provide a detailed plan on how I plan to re-establish in Canada. They are asking for 1 of the following documents : 1) Job offer, 2) Employment contract, 3) Rental agreement , 4) Property / Mortgage documents. 5) college acceptance letter.

In our application I attached a letter explaining my plan to re-establish in Canada. As per the letter I have tried to find a job at a company with offices in both USA and Canada but not been successful so far. Now my plan is to move to Canada in November 2019 and then look for a job.

How do I provide them with any concrete proof to support my plan? What has worked for others in a similar situation?

Problem is that no company is going to give an offer letter dated 5 months (expected completion date of application is Nov 2019) into the future, similarly it is hard to get a rental agreement 5 months into the future. I don't want to move now and be separated from my wife.

Would showing a short term rental in a furnished apartment / AirBnb in November along with one way air tickets be sufficient? Plan would be to live in the short term rental and look for a job and then move to a permanent place closer to the job.

Others who have dealt with a similar situation please help.

Take a search for "proof of intent to return" in this forum - you'll find lots and lots of examples of what people have suggested. Your short-term renal contract is a good idea. One-way air tickets are not - unless they are 100% refundable, because the visa process could take much longer than you plan and the tickets could be meaningless.

Document your search for jobs and your plans - the letter on its own will not suffice, but if you have examples of applications, then that helps. Are you planning on selling your current house or terminating a lease and moving? Have you asked for quotes from moving companies? Those kinds of things will help.

Saying you are looking for employers that have US and Canadian offices doesn't really instil confidence that you are planning on working. and living in Canada.

Agreed. Do you have any family ties to Canada that might help establish a stronger connection?

I would think if he's born in Canada, he would have family ties. I would get some letters from family members showing your intent of relocating to Canada. I had a letter prepared from my brother in Ontario and was sent to me in the Philippines. If you have children, make arrangements for them to enter school, proof of conversations that you've been planning to return....
