Proof of Settlement Funds when landing

Hi,

What and how much shall I carry as proof of settlement funds when arriving in Canada. What does the immigration officer asks for in regards to funds?

I was asked for proof of funds during landing and I simply showed the same bank documents I used for my application.

Had no problems with that at all.

So these were recent bank statements or the ones dated with what you submitted... I was thinking of getting a travelers cheque if that is acceptable.

I didnt bother getting updated ones for the landing and used the same ones I submitted along with my application several months before.

Officer only took a quick look and wrote down the total amount.

That was all.
