Hi, my mother in law is a canadian resident and I included her in my EE profile. I have since had ITA and submitted all my documents. I was never asked to submit anything about my mother in law's status in Canada. I think maybe you would only get asked for proof if the relative is a blood relative of the principle applicant. But I could be wrong. That's just what happened in my case. You could always try to submit an explanation letter with your docs if you do get asked about it.

If your brother-in-law will not supply his PR card or birth certificate, take him out immediately! You did get points for him, in FSW, but hopefully you don't need those points to qualify. Take him out and recalculate, and you won't be asked to submit any evidence.

Hi,

In my case, I applied EE and received ITA under CEC category. But in the initial application I answered that I have relatives in Canada, even though I do not get any points from it.(I am not qualify for FSW.)

Now, when I am submitting the docs, it asks me for proof of relatives, which i think its not worth it to have so much trouble to involve my aunt and uncle(both above 65) and my father just to proof the relationship and i am not getting any points from it.

Is there any way to do this, instead of saying I don't have relatives here?

Thanks

Remove him from your application, explain the difficulty of obtaining such documents from him and the fact that you are a CEC applicant so this does not affect your CRS score or eligibility in a LOE.

Hi

Thank you for your prompt reply. When you said remove him from the application, did you mean that after I receive ITA, when I am filling out the form I should answer "No" for having relatives in CA? So no doc required to upload but write a LOE saying I do?

Won't that be weird for them? Since before ITA I answered Yes(no points gained), then after ITA answer no. Last, saying yes again in LOE?
