This comes up only if you or your spouse have declared Canadian relatives in the EE profile to claim some points under FSWP. These are the requirements for this request.

Purpose

To validate a claim of, and award points associated with, having a relative in Canada who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident

Document requirements

This documentations is required if the applicant indicates that they, or their spouse or common-law partner, have a family member in Canada who is a permanent resident or a Canadian citizen.

A copy of both sides of the family member's Canadian citizenship document, Canadian birth certificate and/or permanent resident card must be provided.

Evidence that the family member currently resides in Canada must be provided through documents such as a residential lease, mortgage documents, utility bills, etc.

The documents should be current to the six months prior to submission.

Proof of the relationship of the applicant or the spouse or common-law partner to the family member must also be provided through documents such as a birth certificate, an official document naming the applicant as a parent, a copy of the inside back cover of the relative’s passport showing the relative’s parents.

Individuals who must submit this documentation

The principal applicant
Their spouse or common-law partner

There must be a separate placeholder for that as well.

Purpose

To validate marital status claims

Document requirements

This document is only requested when marital status is listed as married.

The marriage must be valid under the law of the country where it took place and under Canadian law.

A marriage performed in an embassy or consulate must comply with the law of the host country where it took place, not the country of nationality of the embassy or consulate.

If the applicant married in Canada, a copy of the marriage certificate issued by the province or territory where the marriage took place must be provided.

If the applicant married outside Canada, a copy of a legal certificate issued by the country, the territory or the region where the marriage took place must be provided.

Individuals who must submit this documentation

The principal applicant

Hey Asivad,

Do you reckon I could get points from my Aunt living in Canada? She's my mother's sister but I wonder if its too far a relationship. She's a PR but I don't know how I could prove a relationship with an aunt though.

Thanks for reading

Aunt and uncle are included as family, as long as they are your mother/ father's real siblings.
You will mostly have to show your own birth certificate or passport relationship to prove your parent name..
and then the BCs or passport relationship page of your parent and aunt...

I believe there is also a requirement to prove that they live in Canada: water/electricity bills, lease agreements, etc, along with their PR copy.

Not sure if anything has to be notarized, or just photocopies should do..if someone can confirm that?

Thanks for replying. Yes, my aunt's my mother's real sibling. I figured I'd attach a copy of my mum's Passport (hoping her dad's name is written on it) and check if it's the same for my aunt's passport as well. Apart from that I'd probably get my aunt to forward me her PR card too.

Thanks again for the reply.
