My name is Victor and I would like you to help me with the following question
I have a case that my friend invited me to Canada and I have proof that we are friends but when I see the option of "Proof of Relationship" says

"You must provide proof of your relationship with your host or family member.

A marriage certificate
Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union (IMM5409)
A birth certificate
An official document naming you as a parent
A copy of the inside back cover of the inviter's passport showing the inviter's parents, if applicable "



I think it's just family and couples? And not for friends

There is no official document that proves someone is friend of someone else.

Yup there is no way you can submit the proof of friendship. You very well have freedom to attach pictures but that wont serve much .

Best course is stick to invitation letter ,proof of funds and purpose of travel (sample itinerary and proposed air-trip from expedia,orbitz etc)
