Proof of relation documents. PLEASE HELP!!!

I am applying for a temporary visa to visit Canada and one of the documents i need to provide is Proof of Relation with the person i am going to visit.
I consider the person to be my father even though he is not my biological father.
He has taken care of me from since i was 5.
I need help in knowing what exactly can i do to prove our relation.
We had a lot of pictures when i was younger but then we moved and aot of our stuff go lost.
He has been in canada for over 10 years and has been providing for me from since then to this day.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

There is no way you can provide proof of relationship if the person inviting is not a blood relation. Just make sure their invitation letter and your Statement of Purpose letter is clear about the nature of your relation with the person. Any supporting documents like pictures, emails or other correspondence will help the application.
