Proof of Means of Financial Support

Hi. I saw a few dozens of topics already posted here about whether CEC applicants need proof of funds or not. This is a different thing though.

When submitting my application, I was not asked for "Proof of Funds", but I was asked for "Proof of Means of Financial Support". The help text said, and I quote:

Express Entry - Permanent Residents
If you are applying for permanent residence in Canada, you must provide an official letter issued by your financial institution indicating your financial profile. This must:

• list of all your bank (chequing and savings) and investment accounts, the account numbers, dates each account was opened and the balance of each account over the past six months,
• list all outstanding debts, such as credit cards and loans,
• be printed on the letterhead of the financial institution, and include your name and the contact information of the financial institution (address, telephone number and e-mail address).

So I did what it said. I sent my portfolio, given to me and signed by my bank account manager. Edit: just now I saw that it does not have the date I opened my account, nor my balance for the last six months. I have way less than the 16,500 CAD or so required for programs like Federal Skilled Worker, though.

Is this a problem? Should I use the webform to upload a LOE explaining that I'm applying through CEC?

By the way I see in my profile where I got the ITA that I'm in through CEC, but I don't see anything about CEC in my application itself.

Proof of means of financial support is nothing but proof of funds in my opinion. All I did was - I uploaded an LOE that says I'm exempted from showing proof of fund per the link https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/proof-funds.html and in case proof is needed, pls reach out.
If it makes you feel better, you can always submit more explanation via a webform. Hope that helps

I got the invitation through cec but while creating the profile I mentioned the proof of funds as 24000 now do I need show the funds in my account
