Hi there,

Me and my boyfriend are planning to apply for PR. We lived together in his apartment for over a year, but we can't prove that because we don't have shared ownership of residential property, bills for shared utility accounts. I only have my ID on his address issued a few months ago and a declaration from our parents that confirms that we lived together for a year. So, it's probably not enough...
We thought about getting married. Do we have to be married for one year before applying, also? What documents do you need to provide in case of marriage, not common-law?

Thank you for your help!

You don't need to be married for a year for you to be able to apply, no such requirement.

You'd be required to submit your marriage certificate.
