Hi im new to canada(PR) & i arrived just 6 months ago....
1.My problem is that i want to sponsor my wife whom i married recently but the instructions states that i need to show the authorities that
ive been working for 12 months here in canada.
2.In the instructions & guide its clearly stated that no video,DVD,video cassette will be asked as a proof then why people keep on say that
the authorities can ask for it.
3.I came here as an landed immigrant on july 5,2014 after that i went back home NEPAL for vacation from Jan 25,2015 to feb 25,2015.
The main purpose of vacation was my marriage.

So as a whole i want to say that its an arrange marriage & i want my wife to be here asap & i also know that its not possible without any consultation from the expertise......
So i need help BADLY :-\

They want 12 months of proof of your job, but if you don't have it, you can provide proof of your job in Canada and add proof of the job you had before you landed.
They will not accept DVDs, etc. If there is evidence in video format you want to submit, take screenshots of it.

I think you can ask your current employer for a letter confirming your job and income.

As for your question, then no there is no financial requirement to sponsor a spouse and as you are sponsoring your spouse only, you should not fill out IMM 1283 but you should fill out IMM 5481 instead.
