Hello guys !!

So I finally got my Police Clearance from Malaysia and I am ready to send out my application to Sydney NS.

Got nominated by MPNP in July and took a few months to gathered up all my documents, and only to see on the documents check list t said :

You must include a copy of your language test results with your application to CIC

So MPNP waived my Language Proof because I graduated from a local College and have been working under NOC B for 4 years, anyone know if I HAVE TO write the test !?

I do not want to send out incomplete application,

any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Your NOC Code is Skill B and in the document checklist it states that NOC C and D are required to pass. Kindly read again the checklist to clarify yourselves. By the way what NOC Code is written in your LOA? I believe that what CIC will use, will be based your skill level.

Dear endlescc....
Dont take tension...there is no ilets required for noc O,A,B....you can submit ur application without ilets...
In other hand, if cic wants ur ilets test...they will tell you to submit and gives you time....if you not submit ur ilets in that time..then they make decision according to ur previous papers.

THis is what worried me, from CIC website :

To prove your language skills, you must take a language test given by an agency that is approved by CIC, and include the results with your application.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/language-testing.asp

Agh I am gonna try to phone them !

I was in the same position as you.
Called the call centre and had 4 different answers each time I phoned in. As I heard about CIC returning documents that did not include the englist test irrespective of NOC, I gave in to the instruction and sat for the exam - waste of time and money indeed if you are in a skilled level job as the website and the call centre agents contradict the information.
Good luck with what you decide to do!

no test resultS needed for skill level under NOC 0-A and B.
do not waste time and money when you can have your application filled up.

Hello dear friend! How are you? I hope you've been doing good:)

Yes there are no language test regarding the NOC 0, A, and B categories, however sometime the job code might change, I've seen some applicant's job has fallen into C from B, then trouble comes.

True it will cost you $285 to do the IELTS and maybe anther month to complete the test, but allow me to put this way, you had been studying in Canada and that cost much more, you were willing to pay for your education because you want to live your life in Canada, but now it's on the last marathon of this race and you don't want to do it just because of the cost and time?

You are most likely will not be asked for language test, but what could it possibly hurt you so bad if you just take the test? You never know how or what CIC would deal with your application. It will definitely be pain in the butt if CIC require you to submit the language test result in the future, cuz i can tell you know my friend IELTS and CLB are hot stuff, there is a line-up until you can get it lol!

My principle of dealing with CIC or any government matters in general would be treating the officers like babies! Honestly unless you are someone big or ridiculously wealthy, never ever take yourself too seriously. Prepare your paper work as if our offices are bunches of children. Hey I even put a colourful sticker with title on each different application form plus the paper click. I printed additional papers to explain anything i feel i have to.

You have come this far, why bother saving this such little amount of time and money where you could risk your entire application?

Hello Zhu!

Thanks for the suggestions!!

Yes I agree we have to treat the officer like baby, and that's why i got all my copies Certified True copy by Notary Public and add explanation when i feel i need more information.

I think I will take IELTS next week, as there are opening.

Thanks for your help!!
