Couldn't really find an answer by searching so I'll post a new topic.

For proof of language, I'm planning on submitting my degree/transcript for secondary/university education from India. Now since the documents are in Hindi, I know that I will need an official translation by an approved or qualified translator along with an affidavit. However, what I don't understand is the "your documents should show that the instruction for the degree was in English or French"

The degree was taught in English except for the Hindi course which was well, taught in Hindi. However, my transcripts or degree certificates do not show this. Getting a letter explaining this from the university is going to be a lot of trouble because that's how universities are in India and I finished my degree in 1987.

My wife has the same situation. We have both been working here for the last 10 years (at banks, no less) and have had to do bank-specific courses like IFIC so we are both very fluent in English so I really don't want to waste money (and time) on doing some 3rd party language tests.

Any thoughts or anyone faced a similar scenario while applying?

Would really appreciate some feedback or help.

Thanks.
