I'm planning to stay in Canada for 6 months with my Canadian boyfriend for ski season this winter.

I'm a UK citizen so am visa exempt.

How do i show proof of funds? and is $4000 going to be enough, baring in mind my accommodation and food will be free.

Thanks

I was advised by people on these forums to have at least $1000 for each month you're planning to stay, regardless if your food and housing is covered by whomever you're staying with.

You need to show atleast 3 month old bank statement ,since you opened the account in august and you would apply in august it would not be very convincing.
What is your nationality ?
