I am planning to apply next week. I have a fixed deposit in India and already collected a letter from there. My question is that letter itself is enough or the FD receipt also needed. I do not want to put the FD receipt because that FD receipt is not clear and difficult to see the account number and amount as it overlapped with other typed words. The bank said they wont issue a duplicate certificate because the letter will be enough to clarify. as far a I know there is no statements for the FD in India. If I put the FD deposite is it necessary to notarised or not.
The London check list shows the required documents are
current bank certification letter; or
•evidence of savings balance; or
•fixed or time deposit statements
is current bank letter alone is applicable to FD;s
