Proof of funds

Hi,

Is it mandatory to keep the funds in principal applicant's bank account or we can keep in spouse's account as well?

P.S. I tried looking for answers in this forum but couldn't find any. Thank you in advance for taking your time to answer my query.

Spouse's account is fine. We kept our funds in my spouse's account. Ontario requests a self signed letter from spouse or the bank stating that you have access to your spouse's funds. I reused that letter for my pr application as well.
