I bank with Natwest Bank (UK) and they wont provide me necessary letter required to show proof of funds. The branch manager said she can only print out the bank statement from the date I opened the account till date. I am not sure this is sufficient for the purpose it is needed for. Please can you advice what to do.
Kind Regards
Ideally, a bank cannot deny its customers a letter which states the details of the account held with the bank, may be the bank would have it's own format. But what matters is the required information should be captured in some form or the other. You can place a formal request with the bank along with CIC requirements, may be they should be able to help you out. Generally, they decline such requests because they will have to go out of their way to draft a letter. To avoid such a situation, you can draft a letter the way you want it and email it to them and ask them to print the details (post review) on bank letterhead. It has worked for me, they may tweak the letter a bit, but as far as it has the information that you need, you are good to go. You can submit this letter along with 6 months bank statements as part of your PR application.
