Hi everyone! Just need some advice. My husband is in Canada holding a temporary working visa- low skilled for 2 yrs. Me and my daughter (5mos old) would like to join him soon in Canada. We are advised by our agency to have proof of funds (4,000) when we apply for our TRV, problem is we dont have that amount for now. Will it affectmy application if we don't include bank statement or any proof of funds? By the way, just some background, I was in london for the past two years to study and my daughter was born there last jan 2013, we went home in the philippines last april while my husband went straight to canada. Do you think I will convince the immigration officer that we will leave canada as soon as the contract is finish? Any response is highly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi MGEE,
Mahalaga po ang proof of funds especially sa TRV application.Lalo na at nandito ang aswa mo they will assume na di na kayo babalik ng pinas. Especially because we Are from the Philippines. (alam nila na mahirap nag buhay satin) Is your baby considered a Citizen of London with a passport? Than she shouldn't have a problem. Advice ko lang sayo wag ka magmadali kasi once na magapply kayo ng TRV then madeny next time na mag-apply ka na may pera na kayo matatagalan ka kasi you will have a denial record na. Is there no way for your husband to get a skilled job? Goodluck!

Thanks marsiangal for your reply. Please advice nmn po best option for me to reunite with my nubby. Thanks so much po!

Hello po, In my opinion lang kasi because your husband is here mas malaki yung chances na madeny ka sa TRV, only because I know a lot of people na has their son, daughter or husband even kapatid. na dahil may kamag-anak sila dito sa canada that is not a PR dahil worried yung canadian government na hindi na babalik yung kamag-anak sa home country. meron pa nga akong kilala na they are on student permit dito tapos yung magulang niya kahit madaming pera na deny padin eh. its a case to case basis naman you may get lucky. who knows.
And best bet mo is to get your husband to get a skilled work permit, dahil the moment na makuha niya yon pwede agad kayon kuhanan ng spouse open work permit at study permit for your child same with the validity of his permit. Saka isa while you are here on TRV kung sakali what is your plan? you are not allowed to work. ska hindi naman ganon katagal ang validty ng TRV. Patience is a virtue my dear, good things come to those who wait.
