Dear Members,

I've received a letter today from Detroit visa office to show $19700 funds in my or my wife checking account in the form of bank statement from the last 3 months.

Now, my question is I have this money with me but in cash not in bank, if I will deposit this money now, they will not accept this (considering it like a loan from somebody).

Kindly suggest me the way to proof this funds for the family of 4.

Your reply will be highly appreciated.

Thank you all.]

Re: Proof of funds

Dear Members, kindly help me how to show this money now as a proof of funds.

Should I simply deposit it in a account and send them a print out or any other way.

Please help in this matter.

Thank you.

I think you should deposit your cast to your bank immediately and ask your bank manager to issue a certificate ( addressing to whom it may concern) stating that you maintain an account with them and the current balance in the account is ..........( the figure of your money ). This may charge you a little bank fee

Submit this to the Visa office along with your printed statement showing transaction in the account. At interview tell the truth. You must be able establish an acceptable reason as to why you do not hold money in Bank but cash in hand.
Probably you may state that you lent this fund to a freind / relation for some time

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
i am sure it would not be a problem if you already have an account with a bank. just follow BABLU's suggestion and i am sure it would be alright.

hope this works for you.

Hi Friend,

As long as you are showing the required amount at your own account there is no problem for them, means they will not bother about from where you got the money and how did you arrange for that and all . Only thing is that you have to show the required amount in your own account and 3 to 6 months bank statements. Thats it.

Good Luck

Hi,
Its muru again, i would like to add some more points with my earlier comment.

Along with your 3-6 month bank statment, it is better to get a reference letter from the bank manager stating the period of that account you having with them, account number, current balance and other details. Then forward it to altogether to Canadian High Commission.
