Hello everyone,
In case I show proof of funds number which is higher than what I am supposed to. Would I need to convert the whole amount or just the requisite amount
Thanks

You don't need to bring in all the required money when you land. You can choose to bring more or less than that - the only rule is that you must declare if you're carrying more than 10,000 CAD in cash into Canada at the port of entry.

But that's for cash in hand, right asivad? If I submitted bank statement showing say 14000CAD while submitting pof, though I needed only 12000, do I still need to maintain 14000 while landing? We need to carry the latest pof while landing, right?

That is indeed for cash in hand.

You can state as much as you want in POF but you will need to have at least the minimum amount available throughout the process. At the port of entry, you might be questioned about POF and might have to show documentation to prove that you still have access to the required funds.
