For applying to university category under spp, is gic + one year tuition fees of university sufficient to show as proof of funds, or something else is also required ?

It's enough. Do show your family's tax returns of the last one year.

Thanks Mandeep. Is there any specific income range that should be there in the itr of parents or we just need to show last year's itr?

If it's above 5 lacs combined of family members that should be enough for university category.
