Hey guys,

I'm applying under CEC, have a work permit based on positive LMIA. I know that I'm LICO exempt and technically speaking I don't have to provide proof of funds but they still might ask for it.

My question is what's the format of the proof of funds/financial profile or whatever they call it. I've already been to 2 TD branches in Vancouver (in Yaletown, and in the main one on W. Georgia) and the only thing I was able to get was a statement called "Your Personal Assessment" that shows my name, info, account numbers, balance etc. + statements over the past 6 months that include all transactions. However, I talked to my lawyer and I was told it must be a letter written by a bank & also contain average account balance over the past 6 months.

Anyone who has experience with getting this from TD in Canada?

Cheers,
Tomas

I think the document you were able to get from TD is more than enough, especially since you are exempt anyway. 6 months worth of statements are enough if you dont have something that shows the 6 month average.

Did you put 0 in your profile or did you claim to have a specific amount. If you gave them a specific amount, then yes, they could possibly ask you to show it.

your personal net worth (assessment) that is

total assets (checking + savings + investments) - total liabilities (amount owing on credit card + line of credit + mortgages)

along with your name, address, date you started banking with them will be provided along with date stamp and past 6 months bank statements this will be good enough

also add T4 + Notice of Assessment + pay stubs to employment letters
