I am starting this post as proof of funds is one of my 3 major issues with my visa application. Wanna track the process here and possibly help other people facing the same issues - in this case, having a sponsor.

In my case, the issue is that my special someone (a Canadian citizen) will be sponsoring me. We haven't applied for conjugal sponsorship or common law or anything. Also, besides photos of our last 2 vacations together, we can't link the relationship.

We haven't moved the money in my account and we don't intend to. We'll be blunt and honest and write a letter with a notary's affidavit on it, stating he has X amount (out of which Y is for tuition, rest is for living) and he makes Z$/month so he can sustain us. Does this seem bad for a visa officer? There are 2 problems here.
a) Not my physical money - affidavit may not be enough to guarantee to the visa officer my bf won't kick me out if we argue (LOL Wink)
b) He makes good money - might be a problem 'cause visa officer might think I'm not coming back. to be honest, I don't intend to. I just want school and experience after to be OF SOME USE WITHIN CANADA - A FUNCTIONAL PERSON IN THEIR SOCIETY. Too bad it seems impossible to make them hire you from here, as a foreign worker, because most companies are too lazy to go through LMIA. So all i want is the chance to be hired then I'm good. I already have 2.5 years exp in telecom from here (not a lot at all...but still something)

Desperately seeking opinions on what is the best way to go about being sponsored and what files are required (Do we each have to write a letter?)
I'm sure other people are being sponsored but their sponsors are family members so it's easier

Please help!
Thanks,
Sandra
