Hi, I just got ITA, but my Canadian bank is Present Choice Financial, which is an online bank. I have enough deposit in my account.
Can I provide my account information as proof of funds by using Screen Capture from the bank's official website?
Thanks in advance
No matter what your situation is, this definitely will not work. If you need to prove sufficient funds, you will be rejected if this is your only evidence. I say this because there was definitely someone on this board who had the sad experience.
If you can get a letter on letterhead from this bank with all the necessary information, you are good to go. But if you cannot get a letter on letterhead from these people, you need to transfer your money to a brick and mortar bank. You need to document the transfer of the money by showing it in the online account in your name and then documenting the transfer to the new account. You can then get the letter showing sufficient funds in the new account, and use the transfer documents and online statements from the past 6 months from the internet bank to show that the money was present in your name for that amount of time. Then submit a letter of explanation as well, explaining the transfer, with the reason being that your internet bank could not supply a letter on letterhead for CIC.
