Proof of Funds Options

Hi guys,

Just needing some advice on which is the best option to show the proof of funds.

I met someone here that we would like to hire as our live-in caregiver though he does not meet the experience requirements and he does not have his 6 months training certificate as per CIC. He came here on a 1 year working holiday visa (July 27, 2014 to July 20, 2014). While he was here he set up a Canadian bank account and was able to save about $12,000 or so. He still has his Canadian bank account active. He is in Japan and would like to apply for a study permit for a 7 months course in Edmonton (the Live-in Caregiver program) in order for him to meet the qualifications under the Live in Caregiver program. He needs to show his proof of funds as one of the requirements and I know they want to see statements from 3-6 months prior. My question is this....

1. Should he show his Japanese bank account? There has been no activity (so hence no money in that account) that account for almost a year as he was in Canada? If yes, should he transfer all his funds from his Canadian bank account to his Japanese bank account with an explanation (and proof of his earnings in Canada) as to why there was a lump sum amount recently deposited into his Japanese bank account?

2. Should show his Canadian bank account as to his proof of funding? If yes, does this hurt his application as it shows ties to Canada?

3. Instead of showing any of his accounts should he just show that his parents will support him during his studies in Japan? His parents are also very willing to support him financially if need be

4. Should I show that I will be supporting him (paying for his course and living expenses)? I am afraid to do this as it will show ties to Canada and his application can be rejected on that basis

He does have more than enough to cover the cost of the course and for his living expense (cost of the course is 5,000 and his room and board at the school is 3,325 for the whole 7 months) and there is more than sufficient on my end. I'm just not sure which option he has to show his funds in order the satisfy the visa officer.

If anyone could give their opinions as to what his best option would be greatly appreciated.

Thank so very much for everyone's response :)
