Excuse me for starting yet another thread but other threads on similar topic seem to have left the discussion open ended. It would be great if someone who has a similar situation and completed the entire process share some insights.
My scenario:
1. Sufficient balance in my primary checking a/c in US
2. Have an auto loan in US
3. Have multiple credit cards in US with balance paid in full
4. Have foreign bank a/c in India with sufficient balance
5. Have mortgage in India
If the primary objective is to find whether I have sufficient funds then providing details on #1 should suffice.
The confusing part is the guideline that states to declare all loans, credit cards etc. Why do they need if I can prove I have legitimate funds. And as many others have suggested not to supply additional information (like loans, credit cards), what's the rationale particularly when the guideline specifically asks for these?
Please advise.
