Hi, I have a serious issue. I have two bank accounts. My main account has always been a joint acc with my dad BUT I am a primary holder so I have all legal rights to it. Only my name appears on the bank statements - with the word (JT) attached. I need to submit proof of funds and the money in this joint acc is basically most of the funds. Can I submit it with a no objection letter from my dad? And a LOE stating that I have full access? Will I need to provide any legal letter or affidavit as well where my dad claims he will not touch any of the funds and they are only at my disposal?
I have heard the gift deed is another way to go. But I feel it seems to appear quite shady if I put a gift deed from one of my accounts to another. It seems like it is done on purpose to trick the Canadian embassy. I want to be as clear and transparent and hence I thought a NO OBJECTION LETTER should be the right way. Please let me know your thoughts, someone who is experienced. Thanks
