Hi,

Im planning to land at the beginning of Oct at Vancouver, and have several questions:

1. Just wondering if the life insurance (more like a saving + life insurance plan) be acceptable as a part of proof of funds? I have a faxed copy of the policy report and it shows that it has Total Cash Value of 9k USD + as on Sep 2009, and I am the policyowner. I should be able to withdraw funds equivalent to the cash value and cancel the insurance without any penalties, but I wish to keep it as it is now.

2. I was working in Canada for 2 yrs (lost job beginning of this yr, the PR officer that took care my application is aware of that and still decided to approve my PR) and got some savings in my CIBC bank account (several thousands CAD, but I have no offical proof as Im not in Canada now), will a printout from online banking statement be acceptable?

3. I will also carry around 3000CAD cash when I land. Along with the funds/information mentioned above, would I have any problems at the border? (im not married, so only land as 1 person, my citizenship is Hong Kong). BTW, I got my residency thru BC PNP (skilled worker)

Many thanks for all ur kind help in advance!
