Proof of funds - how long does the letter stay valid

Hi guys,

I am wondering how long does the letter from the bank stay valid for the purpose of proving your avaliable funds?

It won't work for me because my bank is in Australia and i will need to get that letter before my departure to Vietnam...so it is also 2 months before my submission. I wonder if it is any issue. I can attach a more updated bank statement - Do you think it is ok?
