Proof of Funds from Indian Savings Account

I live in the US temporarily on a visa, but can I show proof of funds from an Indian savings bank account?

@dotslash227 Thank you for your reply.. My name on the proof of letter is shortened as in my initials are not expanded, will that matter? Also my address on the bank letter is India address not my US address, will that be an issue?

The address won't be an issue as bank accounts usually require Indian addresses. I believe that you would be able to prove that the address mentioned in the letter is your own address.

You should try to get a bank letter with the name that is mentioned exactly like in your passport.
