Proof of funds dilliemma for OOPNP

Hi everyone,

I am going to send the application by next week for OOPNP as my deadline is approaching. I have to get some money from my father as a gift to complete the proof of funds limit. The problem is that in 10th Class certificate, which I am adding as birth certificate, my father's name is XYZ ABC, but the account throgh which my father will transfer the money has account holder name as XYZ DEF. The last name is different.

If I add an affidavit that states XYZ ABC and XYZ DEF are same person, will it resolve the doubt in the eyes of the immigration officer?
Do I need any other document to prove that XYZ ABC and XYZ DEF are same person?

Please fellow forumanions, I need your help as I only have few days left to submit my application.

What does your passport says? Does it match with banks?

Which one is the correct name?

Yes,
You can provide a Name Difference Affidavit mentioning both the names and stating that they belong to your father whose name is <father_name>.
I did the same for me as there were small differences in my name in certificates.

EITHER
Attach a (preferably a notarized) copy of your fathers Passport (hope that has his correct name on it) along with an affidavit stating that XYZ ABC and XYZ DEF are different surnames of the same person.

OR
Get an affidavit for your DoB signed bu both your parents(along with their notorious copy of passports) and attach with the Affidavit.

Note: Don't forget to add a LoE whatever you choose to do.

Thank you very much for this, I had one other question. There wont be a witness because it will probably be transfer of funds online , so I am not sure what to put for witness or if I should delete it.

Just find two close friends or relatives. If you cant than delete it.
