Hi,
I am an Indian citizen currently living in New Zealand.
I have applied for express entry from New Zealand with my partner who will be moving with me.
I have a fixed deposit with my bank in India that I can use to show as proof of funds.
However, even though the fixed deposit is under my name, My mother is the nominee on that fixed deposit.
I have a few doubts for this scenario:
1) Can I still use that proof of funds or will it not be considered by immigration?
To add to that:
By the time i travel I will be using my savings from New Zealand as the money to settle in Canada and I believe I wont need to break the fixed deposit in India to take with me to New Zealand.
2) Can i make a power of attorney in name of my mother to withdraw the funds from fixed deposit even when I am not in India in an event where i don't feel the need to use that money.
Please advise.
Thanks in Advance,
Roopali
