My boyfriend wants to come to Canada (Montreal) and study French for 6 months (with the intention of renewing student visa and studying at a Canadian univeristy)... but he must first learn French to do so (as it would be at a French language university).
he does not really meet the funds requirement but I do... at immigration québec there is a statutory delcartion for such a thing (Stat dec of financial support) It basically describes that a third party will pay for EVERYTHING transportation, school, food, clothes, medical etc...
I am submiting this with the first step in obtaining a quebec acceptance letter before applying for Canadian gov study visa...
I have two questions...
1) can a similiar notorised statutory declaration work with CIC?
and
2) does having a Québec acceptance letter (Carte d'acceptation du Québec CAQ) give better chances of obtaining student visa since Québec gov has already accepted the student?
any help, info or personal experience would be VERY helpful!
Thank you
