Hi there, I am a FSW applicant from inside Canada, and received my ITA in March. I am having trouble attempting to convince my Canadian banks to provide me with the proof of funds letter that IRCC has requested - specifically, the letters that have sent me don't contain all the details. They don't have 6 month average balance and they don't have information on debt/credit card, etc., among other things. One of the letters doesn't even have a signature (or stamp).
Q1: Is there a way to push the banks to provide me with letters that have all the information that IRCC wants? My funds are in EQ Bank (which is an online-only bank) and HSBC Canada, but I also have accounts in CIBC and BMO which I use only for their credit cards (I interac transfer funds from my EQ bank to these banks to pay my credit cards). I do not have any debt and I pay off my credit cards every two weeks.
Q2: If not, if I attach all my bank statements for the past 6-8 months or more, will that suffice to cover the missing info on the letters? And will the bank statements we can acquire from our online accounts suffice? If not, will getting bank statements stamped or signed by the banks work? Will the banks even do that? What should I do as an alternative if all else fails - these are Canadian banks for crying out loud - they should have experience doing this, no?
Q3. Let's save I have savings of 25,000 CAD showing total as the sum of all my accounts and I only need to prove the minimum single person funds (i.e. around 13,500 CAD). If I list some random amount above the minimum (like for example let's say I say I have 15,000 CAD) will it be wrong since I clearly have more than that amount? I would like to list lower to avoid any chance of risk or something.
Q4. USD savings work, correct?
Any help or advice will be appreciated, thank you!
